Rosemarie DeFonte

Contributing Author

Rosemarie is a proud breast cancer survivor who met her 2024 diagnosis head-on with a double mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction. She is passionate about sharing the unvarnished truth and sometimes much-needed humor of recovery, to show other women they are not alone. “I take my cancer seriously; myself, not so much.”

When she isn't writing, you can find her traveling, riding her bike, eating good food, or hanging with her kids. She is a self-professed Disney geek whose ultimate fantasy is to one day hit the ballroom floor on Dancing With the Stars.

Rosemarie is a native New Yorker who grew up in Brooklyn. Having recently relocated to Florida, she is semi-retired and working on dropping the 'semi.'
