Carla Sullivan

Contributing Author

Carla Sullivan is a breast cancer survivor, mother of three, and Director of Strategic Partnerships & Special Events at Daniel’s Music Foundation. Her story is rooted in resilience, gratitude, and the healing power of laughter.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at 39, Carla faced chemotherapy, Herceptin, a double mastectomy, and DIEP flap reconstruction with strength, honesty, and her unmistakable sense of humor. Laughter became her saving grace—helping her remain positive, support her children, and face each challenge one manageable, bite-sized piece at a time.

Today, Carla oversees strategic partnerships and special events for Daniel’s Music Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through music. Grateful for every day she has to make a difference, Carla shares her experience to remind others to be patient with themselves, give themselves grace, and never underestimate the power of laughter.
